PRIVACY POLICY
PART A: WHAT INFORMATION WE (DEVELOPER) COLLECT
This information will be collected from you during the course; full name, driver’s licence number,
class of licence, email address, contact phone number, login/logout activities, security
questions/answers, IP address location, assessment results, Homelinks, final test, internal messages
and feedback.
This information will be collected at the time you register for this course with the driving school
(all information is kept until the completion of the entire BDE course). For ministry auditing
purposes, all information collected will be kept by the driving school for a minimum of 3 years
after completion of this course.
In the event, you decide to withdraw from this course, you may request for all your personal
information to be deleted by your driving school administrator.
PART B: WHAT DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR
This information is required for ministry documentation to verify your participation and completion
of the course.
Information collected from the anonymous course evaluation will be used to improve this course.
PART C: DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANY THIRD PARTIES
In reading this policy, you will grant permission to the Driving School, Ministry of Transportation,
MTO Course Inspector and Insurance Bureau of Canada to view and verify the successful completion of
this Learning course.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal information. This does
not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our platform, conducting our business,
or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also
release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our
site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.
PART D: WHAT SAFEGUARDS DO WE HAVE IN PLACE TO PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
List of security measures:
All user's sensitive information such as a password is stored and encrypted
In case of multiple invalid requests, the user’s IP address will be blocked for a certain number of
hours
Each request is validated for an authentication.
Each user account is given specific privileges to access the services.
PART E: ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
At your request, we will inform you of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal
information, as well as give you access to the information. You have the right to challenge the
accuracy and completeness of your information, to amend and/or delete it as necessary and to request
a copy of the information we possess, subject to exceptions permitted or required by applicable law.
Access requests should be sent to the driving school administrator.
PART F: CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to amend our privacy policy at any time. If we decide to change our privacy
policy, we will post those changes on this page and/or update the privacy policy modification date
above.
